Serge Dagueneau Pouilly Sur Loire 2017

Serge Dagueneau Pouilly Sur Loire 2017 (Chasselas)

Lovely deep colour in the glass, apparently this is a small plot with vines that are 100 years old!! Chasselas in the region used to be transported to Paris for table grapes way back.

Lovely grassy, herbaceousness on the nose. On the palate honestly it’s perfect. Great weight, texture and balance. Very dry, but somehow really soft at the same time. Lovely summertime wine. Their Sauvignon Blanc is still next level incredible but this is lovely to drink nonetheless and great to have possibly the best example of the grape anywhere from old vines.

Day two and it really turns to funky/off flavors.
