Saint Damien Cotes du Rhone Vieilles Plan de Dieu 2019 (Rhone blend of Grenache & Mourvedre - 80/20).
Nose is really inviting, generous, ripe red fruit. On the palate wow bigger than I expected – ripe, rich, prominent alcohol tingle. Very easy to drink – good weight to it, maybe the alcohol is a touch loud (could be me though). Predominantly Grenache with some Mourvedre – you do get that impression – Grenache has the high alcohol potential and made me think it may have been all Grenache. It’s a yes from me.
