Craggy Range Te Kahu Gimblett Gravels Vineyard 2018 Bordeaux blend (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot).
Classic Cabernet blend nose. On the palate perfect balance, focused, elegant fruit. With a bit of swirling the nose gets a certain polished character to it – becoming less old school cabernet and more pretty. First impression was that it was going to be too lean but really with a bit of air it’s come together. It’s a very good wine, you’ve just got to know what to expect. Definitely leaning towards a yes. It's very very good, you just need to expect an elegant Cabernet blend, not a monster.
