Terlato and Chapoutier S BLOCK Pyrenees Shiraz 2015
Colour is brooding and vibrant at the same time. Nose of boiled down blackberries with a hint of chocolate. On the palate thick, rich, but Pyrenees shiraz style in a bad way. Reminding me of a wine someone in my life kept serving up... May just need some air, but I don’t think so … it’s the style and it’s not an easy to like style – the acid jumps up too much. Really wanted to love this but it’s not happening. Will still enjoy drinking tonight and appreciating it for what it is. Scrap that, opening something else, don't like at all. DAY 2 – better but not suitable – really does have merit but strong NO.
