Taturry Mosselini Vineyard Chardonnay 2018 from Mornington Peninsula
Restrained on the nose, not giving heaps but still inviting. On the palate a textural masterpiece. It’s cold but it’s got a lot of butter to give for the style – normally I’d expect more lemon/lime zest and more acid but these guys have achieved something else. Interesting wine – kind of not sure where the style is supposed to be>? Maybe too much wood for the style – like the fruit isn’t as ripe, rich and full to match the oak treatment. I’m actually thinking I don’t like it at this stage.
