‘Run Free’ by Singlefile Chardonnay 2020 from Western Australia
Subtle lemon curd on the nose. Elegant and light weight on the palate. Good texture. This is good value chardonnay. Light on the butter but a hint, has that bigger chardonnay type texture without being full at all really. Almost like a new world Chablis style without the minerality, less acid and a softer mouthfeel. You’d be pretty happy drinking this on a warm day. NOT good enough for the club, but seriously has merit. Almost aftertaste of passionfruit. Definitely tastes like it’s cheap which it is to be fair.
