Pressing Matters R9 Riesling 2017 from Tasmania
Opened yesterday – could see how German it was in style without really being German. Day two and the nose is beyond excellent – diesel – generous. On the palate it’s honestly really good!! Vibrant, exciting acid, hint of sweetness (barely, just counteracts the acid). Seriously delicious Riesling – most German in style I’ve ever had (that’s not from Germany). Great texture, exciting to drink. Very very good. Lime, honeysuckle in the back of the mouth. This is a groundbreaking wine to replicate a style. Will age further very well – built for it.
