Moric Haus Marke Rot 2016 from Austria (blend of four different local grapes)
Bright colour in the glass. On the nose super pretty and inviting – heaps of ripe rhubarb and cherry. On the palate nice weight to it, prominent granny smith acid throughout but has the body to support it. Soft tannin structure. Serious wine. I like it – would also please the people who are into ‘natural wine’ too.
Came back to it and after sometime decided that the funkiness was a little off putting, and not suitable. Am a big fan of their straight Blaufrankish though - that's definitely worth drinking.
