Bila Haut Occultum Lapidem 2017 (Syrah, Grenache, Carignan)
As soon as I opened it, before its even in the glass I’m getting a strong scent of cocoa powder – in the glass super polished – gorgeous! Massive, fruity.
On the palate – super dark, coffee, chocolate, polished, raisins (that hasn’t turned yet). Super smooth, super rich and generous. Great wine.
Day 2 – length for days – so chocolatey and so much dark coffee, softened by the milk chocolate finish. Get a bit more raisin on the nose day 2 – better fresh for sure. But a great wine, love it.
